LOGLINE

Nelson YEO is a Singaporean filmmaker. His first feature film, Dreaming & Dying (2023), made an impactful debut at the Locarno International Film Festival, where it not only premiered but also earned the prestigious Pardo d’Oro in the section Cinesti del Presente and the Swatch First Feature Award. The success of his first feature extended beyond Locarno, captivating audiences at various international film festivals and clinching numerous additional awards. Nelson also participated in respected film labs such as Berlinale Talents Tokyo in 2014, BiFan Fantastic Film School in 2015 and Locarno Filmmakers Academy in 2018. In addition to his feature film success, Nelson’s short films have been selected at international film festivals such as Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and Cairo International Film Festival.
